Case study
A local-SEO marketing site plus an AI text agent and standardized operations for a growing home-services contractor.
This one is not my business, and it is the reason it is on the list. I do two things there: I built the marketing website, and as Office Manager I put AI and process automation into day-to-day operations.
It is the clearest example I have of full-stack value that is not only code. A fast, locally discoverable web presence on one side; a real operational improvement to how the business captures and handles leads on the other.
The company is not named here, and neither are the vendors in its stack. What follows is my work, which is the only part that is mine to publish.
A growing contractor needed a modern, locally discoverable web presence to replace an older site, and needed help absorbing the calls and after-hours requests that come with growth.
In home services those are the same problem wearing two hats. Marketing spend that produces a call nobody answers at 7pm is spend that produced nothing.
The site is a statically-exported Next.js app on Firebase Hosting with a config-driven content model, per-county service-area pages, and extensive local-business structured data so it can rank for the towns the business actually serves. The contact model is text-first, because that is how its customers already reach it.
On the operations side I implemented an AI text assistant that answers questions, books appointments, and routes after-hours requests, then standardized dispatching and job workflows and rebuilt reporting so the office runs on a written process instead of one person's memory.
The parts worth pointing at
Where the engineering decisions actually mattered.
The site is the visible part. The part I would rather talk about is what changed inside the office once the agent was answering.
